New additions to our team: Adeline Schwab and Jonathan Peereman

New additions to our team: Adeline Schwab and Jonathan Peereman

We are pleased to welcome two new members to the BiodivEarth team.

Adeline Schwab joins us as Project Support & Communication Manager.

Holding a Master’s degree in Responsible Management, Adeline has worked with Indigenous Peoples, including the Kogis, through Tchendukua Suisse. She combines a strong understanding of strategic organizational frameworks with a clear commitment to community-based conservation approaches that encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Jonathan Peereman will lead the research component of our initiative.

He has completed postdoctoral research in Taiwan and Belgium, with a focus on forest ecology, disturbance dynamics, and conservation, making extensive use of remote sensing and GIS. His experience includes participation in international projects across Asia, Africa, and Europe, where he has collaborated with both academic researchers and local communities on socio-ecological and conservation-related topics.

Jonathan will oversee three work packages:

Identifying and documenting resilient socio-ecological landscapes and seascapes across diverse biomes and management contexts worldwide

  • Conducting analyses to better understand the factors that support resilience in these systems
  • Coordinating the development of a resilience diagnostic tool, building on existing methodologies

We are delighted to strengthen our team with their expertise and dedication.
