We are pleased to announce that BiodivEarth’s case study “Strengthening resilience in socio-ecological landscapes and seascapes of high natural value” has been published on the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI) website.
The case study examines resilience in socio-ecological landscapes and seascapes, drawing on insights from pilot sites that have sustained biodiversity and supported local communities over time. It aims to identify the factors that enable resilience and provides evidence to deepen understanding of how ecosystem and community well-being can be strengthened across diverse contexts. The findings contribute to a growing body of practice-based knowledge on socio-ecological approaches that support enduring conservation outcomes.
Developed through collaboration with partners and site-level practitioners, the work highlights the integration of governance, local practices, and environmental conditions as key dimensions for maintaining and enhancing resilience across landscapes and seascapes.
We are excited to continue advancing our work within the IPSI community and to contribute to its global knowledge platform and shared vision of societies living in harmony with nature.
